Quick tips on how you can boost your 5-star ratings...
Accompanied Test DrivesIt is much more beneficial to accompany a customer on a test drive, than to not. We recommend ensuring you complete all of your customer test drives with a sales person present. This promotes better customer engagement and trust and allows you to answer all customer queries straight away. Research, Research, Research!In other words, know your vehicles. This means when a new vehicle model is released, being able to answer in-depth questions when the customer asks them. Don’t be caught short on answers. Be quick and confident with what is included from the base model up and more. This could mean setting aside certain times for researching new models and getting up to speed with any new technology and competing brands with similar vehicles.
Understanding the Customer — Stop Talking and ListenThis may sound like a given, but there can be some basic observations of the customer that can easily make or break a deal. Are they energetic and upbeat? Are they conservative or reserved? Are they funny? Do your best to read the personality traits and characteristics of the customer and adapt accordingly. You may be a great talker, but you can always learn more by listening to what the customer is saying. Knowing precisely when to talk and when to listen can be a real game changer!
The Hard Sell - Just Don’tAs a customer, we’ve all experienced it in some way or another. Going for the hard sell method is just a plain turn off. This method can grate on even the most tolerant person and could possibly burn your sale before it even starts. Today's customer is savvy when buying a vehicle, and many factors will come into their decision when doing so. So take your time and be measured in articulating your selling points is our suggestion.
The Follow Up CallKind of the opposite to the ‘hard sell’. The follow-up call to a potential customer is also a no-brainer when trying to sell a vehicle and to also get your star rating up. It’s personal, doesn’t take a whole lot of time and can offer valuable feedback and insight, even if you don’t make a sale.
